Witch's Heptagram Slate Coaster | Heptagram Talisman
The septagram, or the witch's heptagram, is based on ancient Hermetic and pagan teachings. Modern occultists use it to tune into the celestial bodies. In Wiccan teachings, it is the Faery or Elven Star. It is also known as an Enochian tablet or talisman. In a religious context, it represents the seven days of creation and all life's creations, and the seven archangels.
Seven is a magical number; there are seven visible rays within white light, seven days of the week, seven notes in the scale, seven hermetic laws, and seven luminaries (planets). Each peak is associated with a specific god, goddess, a 'deathless star', a creative force. Ancient traditions, including the mystery schools in ancient Greece and ancient Vedic texts, all teach of 7 'realms' or dimensions of consciousness.
