The septagram, or heptagram, is based on ancient Hermetic teachings. Modern occultists use it to work with the celestial bodies. In Wiccan teachings, it is the Faery or Elven Star. In ancient mystery schools, it represented the seven days of creation and all life's creations.
Seven is a magical number; there are seven colours within white light, seven days of the week, seven notes in the scale, seven hermetic laws, and seven planets visible to the eye. Each peak is associated with a specific god, goddess, a 'deathless star', a creative force.
